At its heart, the logo features details from our patron and community. You will notice that inside the circle includes four items symbolic of our faith. First and most importantly, you will see a cross in the top center. The cross represents who we are as a people of Faith. The cross symbolizes victory for us, as we find salvation and mission through the cross and our faith in what Jesus did on it. Moreover, a lily is to the bottom left of the cross to represent St. Joseph. St. Joseph is often depicted with a lily because the lily represents both purity and integrity, two virtues that he had throughout his life, and intercedes for us to have, too. Moreover, you will see a measuring tool and hammer representing St. Joseph’s work. Knowing he was a craftsman or carpenter, the tools show us that it was through his ordinary work that he carried out his mission as the virginal father of Christ. The color scheme of black and blue is connected to the local community, being both the color scheme for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, which impacted many of our communities and the color scheme for Woodland Hills School District, which touches most of our parish territory. Every color, line, and symbol has been chosen intentionally, reflecting our community’s history and our bright hope for the future.
